The truth sometimes hurts... and divides

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s foes will be those of his own household.’ (Matthew 10:34-36)
The sword we see in this verse is not a literal sword, it refers to the TRUTH, because we all know that the truth sometimes hurts and it never cares about our feelings. The truth is a sword that cuts through family members and friends.
And whether we like it or not the truth is in the scriptures and the absolute majority is either too lazy to study the Bible with discipline (even when there is faith), or simply Bible illiterate and not interested in understanding it. This is the outcome of centuries of nihilism and humanism indoctrination. Let's be honest: a lot of what is in the Word is not comfortable or easy to understand. Without the reliable source of truth and wisdom from the Bible, truth is flexible - and that is dangerous. While flexible truth is dangerous for mankind, to be fixed on the truth of our Father is dangerous individually.

He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He has hidden me(Isaiah 49:2)
From Isaiah's mouth came out TRUTH, so that required Yahuah to protect and hide him, for exposing uncomfortable truth can be 'unpopular'.
Just try to share the wisdom of the Bible to an average friend. You will probably be disregarded like you're talking nonsense: 'I respect you, bro, but that's not for me'. This 'resistance' is a natural reaction when all you know about the Word comes from corrupt churches and untrustworthy religious leaders - not to mention the criminal behavior that is covered by a certain big 'Christian' church. Whoever is already weak in their faith sees the current religious system and wants nothing to do with it.

We grow up hearing how cute and nice Yahusha was, when in reality he was the ultimate definition of badass! He was a table flipping, right in your face kind of guy, who had the balls to tell the highest Jewish priests of his time that they were hypocrites and would be denied entrance in the Kingdom of Yahuah!
He had in His right hand seven stars, and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword. His appearance was like the sun shining brightly.(Revelations 1:16)
When Yahusha speaks with the apostles or with the disciples in the Bible, he usually starts with 'I tell you the truth' or 'in truth I say to you'. Yahusha was not sacrificed because he was against the Romans, or because he was instigating protests is Israel. He was murdered for bringing to the average person's attention how corrupt the religious leaders had become and other very uncomfortable truths that turned him into a 'problem'.
If you decide to live by the truth, you will be ostracized, but Yahusha calms our hearts by reminding us that the hate of the world because we accepted him as our savior is actually a great blessing.
Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For their fathers treated the prophets in the same way. (Luke 6:22-23)
Make no mistake - the truth will eventually show itself. Nothing will remain hidden.
For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. (Luke 8:17)
Shabbat Shalom! :)
